Expansion of logistics capabilities to keep pace with record growth of vehicle sales.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ – October 10, 2007… BMW of North America, LLC (BMW NA) announced today that it will expand its distribution network in the eastern and central United States by building two new regional distribution centers. The facilities will be located in Lower Nazareth, Pennsylvania and in Minooka, Illinois. Together they will be serving 275 BMW and MINI dealers in the Northeast and Midwest.

BMW NA will use these facilities to store nearly 75,000 unique items, consisting of automotive and motorcycle spare parts as well as accessory and lifestyle items for its BMW and MINI brands. BMW NA’s total investment in the new facilities will approach $173 million, including inventory. Both new locations will incorporate numerous sustainable design and construction techniques, and both are scheduled to open in the second half of 2008.

MINIUSA HAS NAMED OCTOBER “MOTOR-TOBER.” Every store is doing there own thing. NIELLO MINI will be having RC MINI timed course for anyone between the hours of 1 and 5 Saturday and Sunday (13th-14th and 20th-21st). Winner will win a RC MINI of their own each weekend. The last Saturday of the month, October 27th is an all afternoon event (Halloween type) so drop by anytime during the day. Bring in your accessorized MINI and get voted best dressed. NIELLO MINI will be having food, drinks, games, quizzes and prizes each weekend. It’s always nice to see the club members come by so hope to see some of you here.

Yesterday members of the Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts enjoyed a terrific run through Pack Saddle Pass in the El Dorado National Forest, California. They started their day in Placerville and headed off through the snow country. The route was planned and lead by Howard Canfield.
