Miniology’s classic Mini engine goes kaput!

It’s that odd feeling you get owning a classic car.. seeing plumes of smoke pouring out the end of the tailpipe, checking the oil level indicators watching it burn off quarts of oil, oil pressure not so good, well, yeah, something definitely gone wrong here.

Packin’ Our Bags… Headin’ To Vegas, Baby!

Don’t forget that Miniology will be on site for AMVIV 5 (A Mini Vacation In Vegas) 27-30 March. Each day we will be uploading a special report to the web site and to iTunes for your enjoyment. We will be covering all of the events, plus snagging interviews with everybody who is somebody in the Mini community.

For those of you who can’t make it to Sin City for AMVIV, at least you can be with us in spirit by watching us every night. Those of you who are attending, come by and visit with us at the Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts booth at space #2 on the top floor. We’ll have Magical Mystery Mini Tour badges to hand out, plus a look at how video podcasting is done at our “mobile MINI studio”.

So, don’t be shy, come over and say hi!

See ya in Vegas, baby!

From Across The Pond: A Brit Visits US Mini Club

As posted by Michael & Karen Bennett of the Mini Register in England after a recent visit to northern California.

REME Mount Tamalpais and Cheese Factory Run

6 weeks ago, in January, we were stood on top of a very large rock, surrounded by Minis and looking out to sea. Well we are doing it again but this time we are over 6000 miles to the west, the rock is Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, just north of San Francisco rather than the Great Orme on the North Wales coast and the sea in the Pacific Ocean rather than the Irish Sea. However the atmosphere is the same, we are amongst a group of friendly Mini enthusiasts. The Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts have kindly invited us to join them on one of their regular Mini runs that use some amazing roads in fantastic scenery. It is a testament to how welcoming and friendly the members of REME are; they even let us join in when we turned up in a VW Beetle provided by the evil hire car company.

MC2 aquires GoMotoring

Uber Miniologist and MC2 MINI magazine publisher Barry Brazier has acquired GoMotoring.com.

If you’ve been keeping up with MC2, you already know that Barry has been working hard to enhance the owner/subscriber experience.

One way of doing this is by expanding upon the MC2 websites. While the site gets just as much traffic as Miniology, it didn’t really have much going for it except for a few random articles, some pictures, a copy of Norm’s upcoming events calendar, and a place for subscribers to exchange weblinks or update their info.

Well, while GoMotoring may have been a bit under-utilized, Barry believes it is an evolving website whose time is come of age.

Miniology will be right along with MC2, posting podcast episodes and webcasts from events like AMVIV, MTTS, and MMMT to show everyone.

With the help of MC2 magazine and other assets coming, a far-greater global audience potential will be reached.

If you have any ideas for GoMotoring as to content, style, etc., feel free to send them to Barry over the next few weeks (we certainly will!)

MC2 Magazine can be reached on the web at www.mc2magazine.com

You’ll find links to GoMotoring on our side banners, but yes its www.gomotoring.com

Small emissions once again make MINI a big winner
