See vendors of new and used car parts, food vendors, and beautiful cars in the show as well as many on sale in the swap area. We will have a silent auction with exciting items donated by businesses and individuals! Pre-registration closes Thursday, May 6th, so hurry before the prices go from $25 to $35! Go to our website, www.ubscc.org and download the registration form or pay on-line; just follow the links!

As of March 25th, we have 58 show car entries which is off by 20 some entries for the same time last year. We hope to break the 250 mark for show field cars, but we need your help! We also have room for more business and swap vendors so take a moment to send in the registration form if you want to participate in this great event! Food vendors that have committed to return are Sandra Dee’s BBQ and Rainbow Snow. Business vendors include English Spare Parts and Fun Collectibles. Club booths are set up free, but please let me know so we can arrange space.

Current trophy classes are as follows:
Winners’ Circle, Austin Healey 100-4, Austin Healy 3000, MGB (all years), Sprite/Midget, Triumph TR4, Triumph TR6, and British Specialty.

Check out our website at www.ubscc.org to see which classes are one or two cars away from being set!

We only have until May 6th, so if you want a different trophy class than what is listed above then enter your car and get your friends to enter too; it only takes three like vehicles to set a class. We are the only All British event that sets the trophy classes based on pre-registrations, so make the most of this show and enter your vehicle today! Pre-registration allows us to set the trophy classes and organize the field, so please don’t wait, register now! Can’t remember if you registered or not? A full list of entrants and trophy classes may be found at www.UBSCC.org. See who has entered with what car and where they are coming from. Caravan with fellow British car owners if possible! This is a great event that should not be missed! If you don’t have a car to enter, remember that this is free for the attending public, so come out and see all the British beauties and support the vendors and individuals that make this event possible.

BMW Developing 3 Cyl. Engine. MINI Bound?

BMW’s plans to develop a new family of 3 cylinder engines to reside in both BMW and MINI engine bays. This week BMW has taken the wraps off of that and a much larger project to develop an entire modular engine platform that will include the 3 banger. Automotive News is reporting that the engines will span the MINI, BMW and Rolls Royce brands by 2020. Motoringfile believes the first part of this will show up in 2013 in the 3rd generation MINI and a new (as yet unnamed) front wheel drive BMW. What does this mean for MINI? BMW now has the plans in place to put a 100% BMW engine under the hood of every MINI sold. It’s a bold plan in that BMW has never built engines on this scale before. However if there’s one thing BMW knows how to do, it’s build award winning engines.

The Birth Of A Racer…

From our friends at Niello MINI: BIRTH OF A RACER – In the 1960s the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S models made their mark as serial winners both in rally racing and on the race track. Absolute highlights in the racing career of the classic Mini are its three overall wins in the Monte Carlo Rally of 1964, 1965 and 1967. As a close friend and business partner of Mini creator Alec Issigonis, John Cooper paved the way for, and gave his name to, these Mini variants that were to prove so successful in the sporting arena. He was the first constructor, along with his father Charles Cooper, to field a mid-engine sports car in the Formula One World Championship. In 1959 and 1960, Cooper race cars scooped up the Constructors’ and Drivers’ title in the Formula One World Championship – a first in racing history for mid-engine models. It was a concept that caught on, as to this day, all Formula One cars are built according to this principle.

MiniMotoringGraphics.com Offers 10% discount for Miniology Viewers!

These guys (aka Original Graphics) have been doing this for quite a few years and have an online previewer of what some common graphics look like on your MINI, and can do custom You-if-i-cation as well, just based on your drawings, photos, or whatever.

Other (in some ways, better) than paint — this is a cool way to customize your ride by adding vinyl wrap to your roof, a-panels, doors, bonnet, boot, or the whole car if you want hehe… this isn’t some lame generic tribal or flame sticker like you get at the major autopart chain stores …. its the latest 3M technology, very cool long lasting stuff looks completely awesome. Think of it like Tattoos for your MINI hehe..

When you order, use the code MINIOLOGY and receive a 10% discount on your order!
