REQUEST FOR SUPPORT!!!

The 2010 All British Field Meet is a very special event for all MINI owners – New and Classic. Thanks to the enthusiasm the late Arnie Taub had for MINIs of all types, this is the year of the MINIs at the ABFM. It is an honor and a privilege to be the featured Marque at one of the oldest and largest car shows in the Northwest. We really need to support the people who are carrying on for Arnie and are doing their best to have a successful show. A great turnout of MINIs, especially from PSMINI will go a long way to make the show a success.

For those not into “show cars” this event really isn’t about competition – it is about sharing your enthusiasm for MINIs with a lot of other MINI enthusiast and the car loving public. The venue, Bellevue College Campus, is first class and there are several hundred British Cars of all makes to wander thru and enjoy. It is a great way to spend a day.

Please give this some thought and if possible, register and plan to attend. Thanks.

The Miniology team is still headed for Canada for Mini Meets West, but they do stop occasionally for a meal.

What’s this morning bringing you for the next leg of the journey, Norm?

Norm: Our Classic Minis are running great (knock on wood). All is fine and we expect to have clutches out at 9:30am heading up the Oregon Coast to Newport tonight.

Sounds great! We’ll get a call as they arrive this evening, and our Miniology producer Califzeph will be posting it shortly thereafter to the site for all to enjoy!

Sierra Nevada MINIs

Just a reminder that the Sierra Buttes Run is on for this Saturday.

Folks from the Carson City area and points south meet at the SaveMart parking lot on North Carson Street in Carson City, Nevada at 8:30 AM.

Folks from the Carson City area will meet up with other Sierra Nevada Mini Coopers members at the old Krispy Kreme parking lot on Kietzke Lane (just north of Mimi’s Restaurant) at 9:30 AM and head for Truckee, California.

From there, we’ll head into the mountains of northern California.

PS Don’t forget to bring your FRS/GMRS radios as there are parts of the run route without cell phone coverage. The standard MINI GMRS channel for runs is 7-21 but ask if someone changes it..
