Join NorCal MINIs and MINI of Concord on Saturday, December 12, 2009 for our Holiday Lights Tour and Toy Drive to benefit Children’s Hospital of Oakland. Please bring an unwrapped toy as your entry ticket. Everyone is invited. This is not limited by age or MINI Owners! All donations must be brand new and in their original packaging or with the original tags on. Your tour group will be escorted by MINI Holiday Helpers to some of the most festive homes in the East Bay. Then we will enjoy a Winter Wonderland at MINI of Concord, where they will be serving Beverages and warm goodies to refuel all you merry-makers. Once everyone is warmed up, get ready for the Rock Band Contest and take a picture with Santa and his special sleigh!
The Mini Dealership in Tacoma, Wa., NorthWest Mini, is holding a holiday food drive to benefit the local community. They are collecting not only people food, but also pet food to distribute to the underserved members of the Tacoma community.

Experienced Thunderhill drivers bring a 1st “timer”
(maybe college student out of school or a relative in from out of town) and coach them.

Carmaker Mini is preparing to launch a new special edition of the subcompact icon outfitted by its ultra-luxury cousin Rolls-Royce.
Both British automakers are owned by Germany’s BMW.
The special edition cars will go into production in 2010 as 2011 model year cars. It has not been decided yet whether the cars will be available in the United States.
If they are made available to U.S. customers, they’ll be in extremely limited numbers, said Mini spokeswoman Nathalie Bauters.
“It’s going to be for Mini fanatics and those who want something really special from Mini,” she said.
The cars’ bodies will be no different from those of other Mini Coopers, but they will be coated in a special paint, the color of which has also not been decided, Bauters said.
The cars will be built at the Mini factory in Oxford, said Bauters. It has not yet been decided if the cars will brought to Rolls-Royce’s factory for final outfitting with special high-end interior trim and other luxury touches or if the the Rolls-Royce produced luxury materials will be added to the cars on the Mini assembly line.
Mini announced in May that it was considering a high-end special edition car. Up to now, Mini had not officially confirmed production of a Rolls-Royce edition.

In our first year (2004) Motor4Toys was the largest single contributor of toys to the Toys For Tots Program. In 2005, we were again by over six times the volume!
