MINI dealership Robert Stern has made it a hat-trick of annual titles by once again taking MINI’s Dealer of the Year award for 2007.
Strong sales of new cars, as well as used cars under the MINI Cherished banner are behind the Worcester dealer’s latest accolade. A variety of performance indicators centred on customer service and business excellence featured heavily in the awards criteria.
A massive year in the new MINI story has seen dealers rise to the demand for new models; including Hatch versions of the One and Cooper D models, the new Sidewalk Convertible and the launch of the entire MINI Clubman range.
Many dealers have underlined their commitment to customers in the run up to 2008 with the opening of standalone MINI operations across the UK. Recognising regional achievements, further awards were given to several outstanding achievers in the annual ceremony.
Winners of the regional awards were Dick Lovett of Bristol, Sytner of Harold Wood, Fairfield in Southend, Williams of Manchester, Sytner Sheffield and Bavarian of Belfast.
The burgeoning interest in used MINI cars has been a major success factor for dealers all over Great Britain. MINI Cherished, the manufacturer-backed used car scheme offering 100 per cent approved used MINIs, reported an increase in sales of used cars of 18.6 per cent in January, compared to the same month in 2007.
Andy Hearn, MINI UK General Manager, said: “The team at Robert Stern has yet again excelled. The entire MINI UK dealer network is going from strength to strength and the performance of dealers like Robert Stern in Worcester is driving the success of MINI forward.â€
Colin Capewell, Robert Stern Dealer Principal, said: “It’s exciting times for us and our many MINI customers. There is now something for everyone at MINI and sales of new and Cherished cars reflect that. We’re delighted to receive the Dealer of the Year award for a third year running and my gratitude goes to our dedicated MINI team for making 2007 such a success.â€
