MINI Collection and the “Double D” congratulate Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck on winning the Oscar® for the “Best Foreign Language Film”.

Los Angeles / Munich. At yesterday’s live broadcast of the Oscar® ceremony in the ARRI Cinema Munich, organised by German Films and MINI Collection, visitors were able to watch the young director being presented by the Academy with the Oscar® for the “Best Foreign Language Film” for “The Lives of Others”.

The film made by up-and-coming director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck successfully fought off the favourite, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, from Mexico.

The evening’s special guest – the “Double D” – was eagerly used by many film lovers and VIPs to relax in during the broadcast. Guests were also able to check out the clothing and accessories from the MINI Collection, and to enjoy the DJ sounds on the top floor.

For those of us that went on MINI Takes The States last August, do you remember that big bus they had? Well there’s a similar thing going on in Germany right now with an equally impressive bus.. uh.. that’s about all I know. Cool though 😉
